About Clear Aligners
Clear aligners have transformed how we approach orthodontic treatment—offering a discreet, flexible alternative to braces for patients of all ages. At Eggemeyer & Graham Orthodontics, we’re proud to offer two of the most trusted and advanced clear aligner systems available today: Invisalign and 3M™ Solventum™ Clarity™ Aligners.
Both systems use a series of custom-made, removable trays that gradually shift your teeth into alignment. They’re nearly invisible when worn, easy to remove for eating and brushing, and comfortable to wear throughout the day. What sets our approach apart is how carefully we plan and monitor every case—so your treatment isn’t just convenient, but exceptionally precise and personalized.
Invisalign
Invisalign is one of the most well-known clear aligner systems, and for good reason. It’s backed by decades of research, uses SmartTrack® material for optimal comfort and movement, and includes advanced features for more complex cases—including attachments that help with bite correction.
With Invisalign, we create a fully digital 3D model of your teeth using our iTero scanner, allowing us to map out every step of your treatment from start to finish. You’ll even get to preview your expected results before starting. Invisalign is a great fit for patients looking for trusted technology, aesthetic flexibility, and a wide range of treatment capabilities—from minor adjustments to more advanced movements.
3M Solventum Clarity Aligners
Clarity Aligners from 3M Solventum offer another highly effective clear aligner option, known for their precision and comfort. They’re made with a unique, durable material and are often preferred for their crystal-clear, stain-resistant appearance.
Clarity Aligners allow us to take a very hands-on approach to your treatment. Instead of relying solely on software algorithms, we have full control over the movement of each tooth, which allows us to create a highly customized plan based on your exact anatomy and goals. This system is a favorite among patients who want optimal aesthetics and results, with the added benefit of being designed and managed directly by your orthodontist from start to finish.
Which Aligner System is Right for You?
Both Invisalign and Clarity Aligners deliver excellent results—but the right choice depends on your specific needs, preferences, and treatment goals. During your consultation, Dr. Eggemeyer or Dr. Graham will evaluate your bite, discuss your lifestyle, and walk you through each option in detail. We’ll help you feel confident in your decision—because orthodontics should never feel like a guessing game.
Invisalign for Kids
Invisalign isn’t just for teens and adults—it’s also available for younger patients through a specialized option called Invisalign First. This system is designed for kids ages 7–10 who may benefit from early orthodontic treatment (also known as Phase 1 treatment). At this age, a child’s jaw is still growing, and early intervention can help guide that growth to make room for incoming permanent teeth and correct bite issues before they become more serious.
Invisalign First uses clear, removable aligners that are customized to your child’s needs. They’re comfortable to wear, easy to take out for brushing and eating, and kid-friendly—no wires, brackets, or food restrictions to worry about. For active kids or those involved in sports or music, this can be a game-changer.
Our doctors will walk you through whether early treatment is necessary, and if clear aligners are the best option. If your child is a candidate, we’ll design a custom plan that supports proper development while keeping the experience fun and stress-free for both kids and parents.
Invisalign for Teens
For many teens, Invisalign offers the best of both worlds: effective orthodontic treatment and a low-profile look that fits right into school, sports, social events, and everything in between. The clear aligners are nearly invisible, easy to remove, and comfortable to wear—all while delivering results comparable to traditional braces.
At Eggemeyer & Graham Orthodontics, we use the latest digital technology to create a 3D model of your teen’s smile and map out every stage of their treatment. Invisalign aligners are worn 20–22 hours a day and swapped out every 1–2 weeks to gradually move teeth into place. We also include wear indicators and regular check-ins to help ensure everything stays on track.
What about third molars (wisdom teeth)? This is a common concern for teen patients. If your teen hasn’t had their third molars come in yet, we’ll carefully monitor their development throughout treatment using CBCT imaging or panoramic X-rays. In many cases, wisdom teeth do not interfere with aligner treatment—but if removal is recommended, we’ll coordinate timing to keep everything on schedule. You’ll never be left wondering what comes next—we guide you every step of the way.
Invisalign for Adults
More adults than ever are choosing Invisalign to improve their smiles without disrupting their personal or professional lives. Whether you’re addressing crowding, spacing, or bite issues—or revisiting orthodontic care after relapse—Invisalign offers a discreet and effective path to the results you want.
With Invisalign, you can enjoy the flexibility to remove your aligners for meals, brushing, important meetings, or special events. There are no dietary restrictions, and maintaining oral hygiene is simple. Plus, treatment fits easily into your busy schedule, with fewer in-office visits and faster check-ins.
What about wisdom teeth? Many adults still have their third molars, and in some cases, these teeth can affect alignment or cause crowding over time. As part of your comprehensive evaluation, we’ll assess your wisdom teeth using 3D imaging and discuss whether they should be monitored, removed, or simply worked around during treatment. Our goal is to ensure your Invisalign plan is designed for both immediate results and long-term stability.
With our team’s close supervision and experience, you can feel confident knowing your treatment is completely customized—and handled with the same care and expertise we’d want for ourselves.
